Saw this posted about an hour ago on the official ql forum, it has since been removed and i'm guessing fudge has since been banned. I think it's worthy of duplicating here (copy and paste ftw!)

Interview With SyncError
I recently interviewed with SyncError, the associate producer of Quake Live.
Hi, how are you doing today?
Good. ;p
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Well, as everyone knows, I'm the associate producer of the Quake Live department at id Software. I'm 37 years old and I've been playing video games since college. I live with my wife Leanne and four children in Dallas, Texas. I enjoy listening to rock, U2 being my favorite band, but I've lately begun listening to expand my musical tastes to soft rap and pop. I like to read science fiction; lately I've been hooked on the first Dune book. My wife likes to watch the TV show White Collar, and lately I've been watching it with her.
Can you elaborate on the cheating situation in Quake Live?
I've said this many times before, and I'll say it again. If you have a demo of someone hacking/using cheats, email the demo to our dedicated support team at suppport@quakelive.com You can also send us a support ticket via the Quake Live plugin itself.
What do you think of ZeRoQl/zhu/jaz/etc.'s bans?
Though I think that it is disapointing and sad to see some of the top players in Quake banned for cheating, they broke the rules and deserve their punishments. The Terms of Use do clearly state that any "attempt to use Id Software software games on or thorugh any service that is not controlled or authorized by Id Software" is prohibited, and anyone who is caught doing so will be banned. The rules are not vague and are not up for question. I also do not wish to speak specifically about their bans in public, and if any of them need to talk with me for some reason, I'm always on #quakelive.
What should we expect in the next Quake Live patch?
We're releasing a new CTF map that has more of the gothic elements of the Doom series. We've focused more on a darker, more sinister style of mapping that should appeal to new players and veterans alike. It's very different and we hope it will be a refreshing recall back to the Doom era.
We've also fixed some PQL bugs, such as weapon reload time bugs after changing rulesets. We've also added the "g_speed" cvar to private spawned servers, as well as a ton of other variables and commands.
Our primary goal is to patch bugs in exsiting content before creating new content. We want every player to experience smooth gameplay on old maps rather than experience faulty gameplay on new, bugged maps. Patching content is simply more important than releasing new content, which may be flawed and have undesiderable side effects. Other than that I can't tell you too much. ;p
Are you guys currently working on an anti-cheat program?
Yes, one of our developers is currently working on an anti-cheat program which should be implemented soon. Work is going smoothly, and although I am unable to give a specific ETA, I can assure you that it will be released.
Is there anything else that you would like to say?
Firstly, I would like to congratulate Shane on winning Quakecon 2011's duel tournament, and also Alexey on winning Dreamhack 2011. Both players played phenomenally, and created some tense matches which were very fun to watch.
Secondly, I would like to thank the Quake Live developing and support team for putting in some very hard work over the past few months.
Lastly, I would like say thank you to my beautiful wife for giving me four beautiful children! In case she is reading this, Xander is still scared of the minions.
Thanks for answering this interview; I know you are a busy man.
No problem.
Can I post this on ESR?
Sure! ;p
